OUR HISTORY

 

Celebration Church was founded in 1981 by a group of people from Buffalo. It began earlier as a small home meeting and has since grown into a thriving local church with a rich past and expanding vision for the future.

January 1980 - Moved from home meetings to balcony of the Rio Theater.

June 1981 - Church was officially formed and named Upper Room Church ( changed to Celebration Church in 2003)

June 1982 - Present building started. Most of the work was done over several years by the people of the church - using their vacation and days off work to work - staying overnight, working and having church. This building is the result of that dedication and was completed in 1988.
